Exhibition Success!
For the second year in a row, Mini Monet’s are delighted to have held our annual exhibition in the Amersham House Bistro. Displaying the fantastic talent of our young students, the exhibition opened on Thursday the 4th of July and has taken up permanent residency for the rest of the year with the opportunity to be viewed by members of the public whilst on display.
With this exhibition, we aim to promote and inspire young artists, boosting their confidence, whilst also raising money for Scannappeal, a local charity that supports and provides equipment for NHS hospitals.
With the success of last year’s exhibition, pieces from this year’s exhibition will again be available to purchase, giving members of the public the opportunity to support young talented artists who aspire to continue on with art in the future, whilst also donating to a great cause, with a percentage of each purchase being further used to support Scannappeal.
Thank you for joining us on our opening night for an evening of celebration and excitement!
This Year’s Animal Themed Submissions
This year, we had a rise in popularity with animal themed submissions after a successful ink class, voted as one of the favourites this term, whereby Mini Monet Students created pieces with ink and watercolour, focusing on different animals. Here are some highlights from the exhibition.
Tabitha
Ink 2024
I am 9 years old and I like art, song writing and drama. I chose this piece of artwork because I feel like it’s detailed and different to my other works. I enjoyed making the work a lot and I love using ink because it’s different to what I have used before.
Daniel Sherratt
Ink 2024
I am 13 years old.
I picked this piece because I like using ink. I chose to focus on a giraffe because it is a subject I have drawn a lot in the past. I chose the colour palette because I liked the contrast between the black and white.
I enjoy creating art because it’s relaxing.
Yuvaan Triathi
I am 7 years old. I like doing art. I picked the tiger because I loved the colours and I like tigers because they are really smart.
Finlay Prophet
Ink 2024
I am 12 years old. I like painting, drawing and using ink. I love being outside and I like animals. I chose this bird because I went on a safari In South Africa and was inspired by what I saw. I like how the ink goes from dark to light and the vibrancy of the red on the beak.
