We invite you to explore Mini Monet’s five core values which encapsulate our commitment to art education, community engagement, emotional support, and fostering creativity in a nurturing environment.
- Courage and Freedom of Expression: We foster bravery in our students and the willingness to take chances in their artistic endeavours, providing a safe space for children to experiment without judgment or self-criticism, thus liberating their developing minds.
- Community Partnership and Lifelong Learning: We view ourselves as partners with students’ families, nurturing artistic growth from early childhood through graduation and beyond. Many of our students take part in Duke of Edinburgh schemes with us and enjoy doing work experience with us too. Our welcoming and warm team supports artistic wonder and talent, dedicated to the curiosity and creativity of young minds.
- Compassion and Equal Opportunity: We prioritize emotional relationships and strive to create an intimate environment where empathy and fairness prevail. We offer scholarships to support talented children facing financial struggles, treating every student equally whilst promoting their individuality and artistic ambitions.
- Holistic Development and Life Skills Integration: We believe in leveraging creativity to elevate mood, promote mindfulness, enhance problem-solving abilities, and cultivate open-mindedness towards new ideas. We aim for students to apply their creative skills not only in our studio but also across various subjects and daily life situations. We provide opportunities for self-exploration, fostering personal growth, building mental focus and physical dexterity in the development of gross and fine motor skills. By embracing creativity, we aim to reduce stress and increase personal enjoyment, empowering students to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
- Attention to Detail and Cultural Exploration: We emphasize attention to detail in artistic expression and encourage exploration of cultural aesthetics, symbols, spirituality, history, and social values
Sign up for a trial class. Or better still, start at the beginning of the 10-week term to get the full benefit of the project themes for the period. There are 30 weekly classes per year divided into 10-week term blocks.
The classes are lively and highly creative. We publish the term course in advance so that you know what to expect. The children make new friends and enjoy an environment of like-minded imaginative company.
We make sculptures, Paintings, and learn about colour, art techniques, and drawing skills. We also offer graphic design and printing skills. On top of it all, we introduce young artists to interesting and thought-provoking international artists and artistic concepts. Encourage participation in many young artists’ summer shows and competitions and end the school year with our very own Summer exhibition to celebrate the skills and achievements of our students.
